Most problems I see were preventable if caught early
I help leaders make change initiatives work

I provide independent, experienced judgment to de-risk what you're designing or procuring, then help you make crisp decisions, correct course early, and ensure follow-through when adoption gets messy.

Why change initiatives fail
Not because of bad strategy, but because of predictable problems that nobody flagged in time.
Decisions don't become behavior
- •People nod in meetings and then do nothing differently
- •Middle managers are frozen, unsure how to translate the change
- •"Resistance" emerges, but nobody's listening to what it's signaling
- •Six months later, you're back where you started
Behavior change requires more than announcements and training. It requires reinforcement, accountability, and systems that make the new way stick.
You are buying something that won't work here
- •The vendor designed something elegant that ignores how your organization actually works
- •The vendor is overselling, inflating scope and diluting what matters.
- •The plan focuses on the final state neglecting the journey to get there.
Vendors do what's best for them, not you. And they are experts at their product, not your organization.
How we can work together
Advisory Session

Pre-Commitment Review
An independent assessment of a vendor proposal, consultant pitch, or initiative plan. Also a pre-mortem: what is likely to break during execution, based on patterns I've seen. Deliverables: a written assessment with specific mitigations + a call to discuss the results.
Implementation Retainer
Ongoing access to my judgment during implementation. I help you surface risks early, prepare for key meetings, pressure-test communications, and make tough calls under uncertainty, so you can course-correct before small issues compound. Limited slots.
I also deliver workshops and custom solutions. Get in touch to discuss your needs.
When it makes sense to call me
AI adoption
The gap between 'deployed' and 'adopted' is widest here. I use AI daily, build my own tools, and know what realistic adoption looks like.
Culture and ways of working
Turning values and principles into everyday behaviors, manager habits, and operating routines that stick.
M&A integration
Bridging what the deal assumed and what the organization can absorb, and managing the points of friction between teams and cultures.
Process and system rollouts
Making ERP/CRM and operational changes usable in the field, not "implemented" in name only, with ownership for adoption.
Turnarounds
After a miss, a failure, or a leadership change, organizations overreact or freeze. I help leaders choose a realistic reset plan and rebuild follow-through without burning trust.
HR and people initiatives
Designing and implementing programs that align with your culture and values, and that are sustainable in the long term.
Wherever it's about bridging the gap between promised change and actual adoption, I can help.
From past engagements
Not designing for adoption
The initiative was designed by the software vendor and the internal buyers, with little consideration for how managers and supervisors would use the tool and how to support them.
The initiative missing the middle
Top management was detached from the problems and needs of middle management and frontline employees, so the initiative was struggling to get traction. Redesigning it to make it more relevant helped drive adoption.
Technical managers lacking people skills
The leaders lacked the people skills to get their teams to adopt new ways of working. Targeted training and managerial best practices deployment helped them be more effective.

About me
I've spent 13+ years helping organizations navigate change, from cultural transformations to leadership transitions. I've seen 90+ organizations across industries.
I'm also an author of several books and lecturer.
After working together, you don't just succeed with this initiative. You become a more capable leader, with better instincts for these situations.
What makes me different
Pattern recognition
I've seen 90+ organizations navigate change. I spot what you'll miss because you're too close.
Senior judgment, no overhead
You work directly with me. No bait-and-switch, no junior staff.
Flexible focus
I focus on what the initiative needs, whether that's strategic judgment, adoption design, or coaching the leaders driving it.
Independent and available
I don't sell tools or take referral fees. My only stake is whether the change works.
How I work
I advise, not operate
I provide judgment and guidance, not operational execution. You (or your existing partners) run the initiative.
Lean over complex
No heavy frameworks or elaborate methodologies. I focus on what actually matters and what you can realistically execute.
Independent
I don't sell tools, select vendors, or take referral fees. My only stake is whether the change works.
Making the internal case
How to describe this internally:
- →Risk mitigation for our expensive initiative
- →Independent pre-commitment review of a vendor, consultant, or internal plan
- →Third-party adoption and execution risk mitigation
- →Ongoing implementation advisory (judgment support)
I can provide a standard mutual NDA, and I'm happy to review and sign your company's NDA (reasonable terms).
